Finalisation of the Nancy motif and samples - the lino print as a guide for a to-scale machine stitching, and a scaled-up image I traced for a sample. I wrote: 'lino print - I plan to photograph and digitise it, cleaning up the linework. I plan to embroider it as an application as the lino stamp is too small to be used on a full-size garment. If I have a digital tracing of it, I can scale it up in Adobe print settings across multiple A4 sheets as a guide for machine embroidery. I will do a sample of this, sewing the paper reference onto calico and then removing the fabric from the stitching. I could also cut out the linework with a scalpel and use it as a stencil with a fabric pen.'
Page 48 is just a conceptual refinement of my colours for use in my final designs - not to be used exactly, but to take different shades and tints from.
